Apex10 Progression

Question:

How do I progress with the Apex10?

Short Answer:

There is certainly a fine-line between working the Apex and pushing yourself for progress. However, there are some milestones we recommend you complete before increasing the weight used during the routine. Read on to ensure you are working the progression properly...

Longer Answer:

Our general recommendation is that you should be increasing the weight (even just 2.5-5lbs) if you are completing the Apex10 routine in around/under 40 minutes. If the routine cannot be completed...that's OK! Try dropping the weight if it allows you to complete more of the routine. But the entire progression can be found below:

  1. Complete the routine in its entirety (1 to 10, and back down to 1)
  2. Complete the entire routine in 40 minutes
  3. Increase the weight and complete in its entirety
  4. Complete the entire routine, with the increased weight, in under 40 minutes
  5. Etc.

And if you are completing the routine in its entirety but still doing knee push-ups and/or rows, check out this guide for more detail.
