Do I move up in weight if still doing knee push-ups/rows?
Question:
Do I increase my weight if I can complete the entire routine but am still doing knee push-ups/rows?
Short Answer:
You can still increase the weight for your routine AND work to improve the progress of your push-ups/rows.
Longer Answer:
Technically speaking, if you increase the weight, it can take energy away from progressing your push-ups/rows. On the other hand, if you remain at the same weight, you can use more energy to help improve your knee push-ups/rows, but are sacrificing progress with your Swings, Squats, and Press. However, there is a middle ground where you can do both, as we certainly don't want to shortchange your other movements.
So our recommendation would be to increase the weight and try the following for your push-ups/rows: Do as many as you can from your feet, moving to your knees to finish the remainder each round. So if on round 8 you can do 5 "feet" push-ups/rows, do the other 3 from your knees. Complete them this way for every round and over time, your "feet" push-ups/rows will increase as your knee version goes down.
