How to Perform Mrs. Beast without a bench
First of all, if you are reading this, congrats on making it to Phase 3! We know a lot of you are working out at home and may not have a bench but luckily, you can still perform Mrs. Beast with some slight modifications. Before getting into the modifications, Mrs. Beast is a strength-building workout (whereas Shredder is a fat-burning workout). In order to perform Mrs. Beast and reap its full benefits, you will need heavier weights, as the 1-2 lighter dumbbells may not be sufficient to do all the movements. If your goal is more about fat-burning/weight-loss, simply focusing on the Shredder and HIIT workouts is a better solution anyway.
Though if you do have access to additional weights, try the swaps below if you do not have a bench:
- Incline DB Press==>Reverse Grip Chest Press. Perform a Floor DB Chest Press, but with a reverse grip (palms toward your face) as this stimulates the upper pec region as an Incline Press would.
- Incline Row==>Bent Over Row
- 1-arm Row==>This can simply be performed on the edge of a couch, bed, ottoman, or something similar.
- Skull Crushers==>This can simply be performed from the floor.
